Here are some points to remember when traveling:
- NEVER make statements about bombs, terrorists or weapons. TSA screeners take idle talk seriously and do not find humor in these statements. Making such statements also violates federal law.
- Despite what some may think, there are NO EXEMPTIONS from continuous screening.
- Be courteous, act appropriately and avoid arguing with screeners as it diverts their attention from their serious tasks.
The following items are prohibited in carry on bags and on the plane:
- Duraglit
- Edge Dressing
- MRE Heaters
- Open MREs with heaters
- Torch Lighters
- Leathermans
- Swiss Army Knives
- Scissors
- Ammunition (live, blanks, dummy rounds, or replicas)
- Any Knife
- Laundry Bag Pins
- Martial Arts Weapons
- Parts to explosives, grenade pins, timers etc.
- Firearms (handguns, rifles, pellet guns etc.)
- Swords
- Bayonets
