Boat Launch

Requirements

 Military members and civilian employees are eligible to launch at any of the sites approved if they posses a valid Department of Defense decal on their vehicle, and it is displayed on their vehicle at the time of launch. When acquiring a boat launch decal at the game wardens office at building PT-3, the vehicle on which the decal will be affixed to MUST present at time of issuance.

 Military members and civilian employees are required to have a valid “Boat Launch Sticker” displayed on their vehicle if they are going to launch from Freeman Creek.

Boat launch permits are presently not being issued or renewed for Civilians not affiliated with the Department of Defense.

Currently, Camp Lejeune and New River Air Station has 13 approved sites for private boat launching.

Courthouse Bay Marina

Weil Point Road

French Creek

Gottschalk Marina

Marston Pavilion

 

TT Boat Launch

New River Marina

Maple Landing

Rhodes Point

Mill Creek

Stone Creek

Onslow Beach Bridge

 

 

Vehicles and trailers may not be parked in any manner that would obstruct further use of boat launch site. All posted signs at boat launch sites must be obeyed.

 

 

Stone Creek Launch Requirements

 

Persons utilizing Stone Creek Launch site must report to Stone Bay Rifle Range Security for clearance to use the launch site.

 Freeman Creek Launch Requirements

Must have a valid Boat Launch Permit

Call Base Game Warden’s Hunting, Boating and Firewood Recording at 451-3794 to determine if area GH is open (Freeman Creek Launch is in that area).  If GH is open, the launch site is open, if closed, you may not launch from that site.
