WHAT'S NEW AT THE CONSERVATION LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICE

PLEASE READ!

ATTENTION: Recent initial testing of the sediment in Henderson Pond in November 2011 on Camp Lejeune revealed low levels of contaminants (PCBs, pesticides, metals) that may pose a risk to human health.

Out of an abundance of caution, Henderson Pond and the adjacent Hickory Pond have been temporarily designated as recreational catch-and-release ponds so as to avoid consumption of the fish until further testing can occur. [more]
