The Air Quality program is responsible for ensuring that Camp Lejeune maintains compliance with all applicable federal and state air quality regulations.  A further goal is to maintain a proactive approach to reducing overall facility emissions through the use of cleaner technologies or by removing significant or inefficient polluters.  Doing this not only reduces harmful effects on the environment but also reduces overall operation costs on base.
